I wish to escape the bedlam Of the modern world The city never sleeps Ineffective narcotics are metal and concrete But human nature is a fine overdose of valium Hide the truth behind the red curtain of the pantomime Give them a show Put on a quite a song and dance They’ll not suspect a thing We are puppets on strings soon to be severed And all the world’s a stage
Will quicksilver someday flow in our rivers? Will the sky ever vary from gray? Something worth mention is that I can somewhat Remember a time when the sky was not gray
